Nothing in particular, especially since I had expectations for a 4-star Marriott hotel. The truth is that we paid everything as requested: accommodation, guarantee, breakfast, city tax, but did not receive everything that was expected in return.

The staff were great and solved any problems with our accommodation with the least amount of hassle involved. The room was great and the breakfast was really good. The rest of the city was accessible from this location by tram, and we were given myBasel cards by the Hotel which gave us free travel on the buses trams for most zones even up to the German and French borders. MyBasel cards also gave us discounts to museums and a couple of events, so it was definitely worth having. MarktHalle Basel is worth visiting if you have difficulty finding a place to eat, and is easily accessible from this location.

Clean room, comfortable beds. I liked, that the breakfast could be booked onsite for the next morning, with a discount. Big, delicious buffet and nice staff. We stayed for the Fantasy Basel convention and for this, the location is fantastic! Cross the street and you're there :)

The location (10 min walk from the centre), multiple trams/buses nearby, they provided with a Basel card (free public transport, discounts for museums and other public activities). Neat hotel, clean and spacious rooms.

The room was very spacious and quiet. We would have preferred a non-connecting room as for a short time we could hear someone talking on their phone! The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean with a great shower. Location is in smaller Basel so 20 minute walk to old town.

Excellent breakfast: A Chef making omelets to order, every type of egg you'd want to eat. Cereals fruit cold meats varied bakery - patisserie. Hot and cold food. A wonderful diverse food spread, with good coffee and juices. The club lounge was well-stocked with water, juice, and snacks. Good to use after long walks or for small bites instead of shopping for drinks.

Very comfortable bed, great staff did everything on request very well thank you, even allowed us to complimentary stay till 13, tasty burgers from room service, good room, nice shower, great value for money.

The check-in staff was friendly and helpful, especially the blond young guy (I’m sorry I didn’t take his name). There were a crazy hot sauna which was pretty necessary after the freezing cold of Basel. The bed was sooooo comfy.
