Nothing in particular, especially since I had expectations for a 4-star Marriott hotel. The truth is that we paid everything as requested: accommodation, guarantee, breakfast, city tax, but did not receive everything that was expected in return.

Independently booked a night in preparation for a Viking Cruise with our friends. There was a Viking desk that just happened to be there which was helpful to find our dock. It seems Viking uses this hotel for the pre cruise package. Comfortable bed and nice bar/ lounge downstairs. They held our luggage since our room was not ready. Concierge was helpful and quite friendly. It is close to the Convention Center and Sbahn stop.

Hotel is conveniently situated next to the messe and tram stops. The tram brings you to the city center in a few minutes. A stay at Marriott grants you the Basel Card (free public transportation + 50% off activities such as museums). That was a huge plus. The room is spacious and clean. Modern room + bathroom. I appreciated the kind gesture of a hand written note and chocolate cake for my birthday.

The staff were great and solved any problems with our accommodation with the least amount of hassle involved. The room was great and the breakfast was really good. The rest of the city was accessible from this location by tram, and we were given myBasel cards by the Hotel which gave us free travel on the buses trams for most zones even up to the German and French borders. MyBasel cards also gave us discounts to museums and a couple of events, so it was definitely worth having. MarktHalle Basel is worth visiting if you have difficulty finding a place to eat, and is easily accessible from this location.

Very nice room and well-functional bathroom. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and everything functioned and was easy to use. Just a few steps from the local trolley that's free with hotel-provided City Card.

Clean room, comfortable beds. I liked, that the breakfast could be booked onsite for the next morning, with a discount. Big, delicious buffet and nice staff. We stayed for the Fantasy Basel convention and for this, the location is fantastic! Cross the street and you're there :)

The location (10 min walk from the centre), multiple trams/buses nearby, they provided with a Basel card (free public transport, discounts for museums and other public activities). Neat hotel, clean and spacious rooms.

The breakfast was very good, well stocked, all tastes and diet needs catered for. Caring staff. Bed was a little firm, and pillows soft. Very glad we stayed there and would stay there again. It is a little further from the old town but a tram is at the door and the hotel gave us a free tram pass.

just what you would expect from a Marriott hotel. It's clean, the bedroom facilities are great. The size is great. The overall comfort is great. Access to everything is easy. Staff are exceptional in knowledge and helpfulness.
